Weather
Average air temperatures decrease at a moderate pace from the beginning of September. Still, it feels pleasant most of the day. In September, average temperatures range between 19C (66.2F) at day and 9C (48.2F) at night. There might also be a small chance of rain. With that in mind, most people would dress in something moderately warm like a sweater.
Currency
The currency in Germany is Euro (EUR). 1 Euro is approx. 1.10 USD as per July 2022. Credit cards are widely accepted. ATMs are called Geldautomat. They’re normally located inside or just outside bank branches. You’ll also find them at the central station and at the airport.
Shopping times
The shops are open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, supermarkets are open from 8:00/7:00 am to 8:00 pm. On Sunday everything is closed except gas stations, and small supermarkets and some shops at central stations or at the airport.
Smoking ban
Smoking is not permitted in all indoor public places (like universities) and restaurants as well as in train stations, underground station and at the airport.
Electricity supply
For Germany there are two associated plug types, types C and F. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins and plug type F is the plug which has two round pins with two earth clips on the side. Germany operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.
